Book Signing and Fan Appreciation Event

September 14th 2013

On Saturday Sept 14th, 2013, NY Times Bestselling author Warren Murphy will be appearing at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library (Formerly known as the Central Library) located at 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd.,  Virginia Beach, VA 23452.

Warren Murphy will be appearing at at a book signing on Sept 14th, in Virginia Beach. The event celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the creation of the critically acclaimed “Destroyer” series. Murphy, a two-timeEdgar Award winner and a repeat Shamus Award recipient, has written nearly two-hundred books, including the NY Times bestseller Grandmaster. Murphy’s film credits include Lethal Weapon 2, The Eiger Sanction and Remo Williams: The Adventure begins.

This event coincides with Murphy’s eightieth birthday, which takes place that weekend as well. To celebrate his birthday, the first fifty fans to arrive will receive a gift bag that includes an autographed, limited “special” edition of his first book, among other goodies. This edition will only be available at the event.

Murphy, always approachable and willing to sign his name on anything, asks that fans limit themselves to bringing only three items from their personal collections for autographing.

Books from Murphy’s latest series, “Legacy” and other titles will be available for purchase at the event. If you can’t wait until September to begin reading the Legacy Series, Books 1 and 2 can be purchased at Amazon.com here.

Hello!

My name is Vanessa Barger, and I teach technology education and sponsor the Young Writers Club at Mathews High School. Part of the mission of the Young Writers Club is to promote literacy, reading, and writing of all kinds. We are in the process of organizing the MHS Book Festival, which would take place in Mathews, VA on October 12, 20013. It is a great opportunity to share our love of the written word with the school and the community.

We are actively seeking vendors/authors for our event, and would be thrilled if you would consider joining us! Registration for vendors and participants is free, and tables are given out on a first come, first served basis. (after ours are gone, you would have to provide your own.)

Man, I wish I could be there, but alas, my High School Reunion is also this weekend.
